The manager's work
Managers assign drivers and vehicles, reschedule and cancel tasks, monitor team availability and review shift extension requests.
From paper route sheets and phone calls to active management of deliveries, assignments and driver shifts.
Route sheets were generated and printed from the ERP system. Drivers set out with a paper list of tasks and called customers. Planning stayed in the system, while execution happened outside it — on paper and over the phone.
Plans could change after departure. Reallocating a shift, reassigning a task or redirecting a driver quickly was difficult: every change required calls and manual coordination between the manager and the driver.
Automate deliveries and shifts so the logistics team can adjust assignments throughout the day, while drivers receive current tasks and report results through a mobile application.
Planning and execution needed to become a single process that accounts for driver and vehicle availability, shift state and job status.
IT SYNERGY.DEV developed a mobile driver workspace and a web workspace for the logistics team. Managers see the situation on a map, distribute jobs and change assignments. Drivers receive prompt notifications and work with up-to-date tasks.
The application covers deliveries, collections, returns and exchanges. Each job includes an address, customer contacts, a date, a time window and a comment. Addresses can be opened in Yandex Maps.
Managers assign drivers and vehicles, reschedule and cancel tasks, monitor team availability and review shift extension requests.
Drivers start and end shifts, view available and assigned jobs, accept tasks and record progress. Their work history stays in their account.
Assignment checks and distinct execution stages connect job status with shifts and resource availability. A change history preserves the sequence of team actions.
If a job cannot be completed, the driver selects a reason and adds a comment. Whether the customer is not answering, the address is wrong or the vehicle has broken down, the manager receives context alongside the status.
The manager can then reschedule the job or record a decision. Reasons, team actions and completion times are stored in the system, with reports available for a selected period.
Paper plans gave way to active delivery management. The team can adjust work during a shift, and changes previously relayed through a chain of calls reach drivers directly through the application.
Managers see what is planned, what is in progress and where their input is needed. Drivers receive current assignments and record the outcome of each job. Planning, execution and oversight are combined in one workflow.
